Three ways to build the box
Flush inset
Doors and drawer fronts sit inside the face frame, flush with it. The most tailored look, built to tight tolerances.
Face frame
A solid wood frame on the front of each box, with doors that overlay it. The classic American build.
Frameless
No face frame: full-access boxes with doors covering the box edges. Clean lines and the most interior room.
Your wood, your finish
Nothing here comes from a fixed list. Tell us what you want the cabinets made of and how you want them finished, and that is what gets built.

Do you build custom cabinets in the Bay Area?
Yes. Cabinet Doctor, the cabinet department of RemodelER, builds fully custom cabinets to order and delivers them to jobsites across the San Francisco Bay Area. You choose the construction, the wood, the door style and the finish.
What kinds of cabinet construction can I choose?
Three: flush inset, face frame or frameless. Flush inset sets the doors inside the frame, face frame overlays the doors on a solid wood frame, and frameless has no frame at all, for full access to the box.
What wood are custom cabinets made from?
Whatever you want. The cabinet boxes, the doors and the drawer boxes can each be made from any wood species. The base level starts with prefinished maple, and from there it is your choice.
Can custom cabinets be painted any color?
Yes. Everything can be stained or painted, and paint can be any color from Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams.
How many door styles are there?
More than 200 are shown on this page: solid wood doors, inset profiles, glass-ready doors and wood slab fronts. Mention the style name when you request a quote.
What drawer box options are there?
Drawer boxes can be made in any wood species. This page shows examples in walnut, cherry, sapele, teak, knotty pine and maple, with scooped, angled and lipped fronts, and organizer inserts such as cutlery trays, spice racks and file drawers.
